Want to know all about the new Phoenix Grips and how they have revolutionised the world of Cross Training? In today's blog, we tell you everything there is to know about our new no-holes grips, the Phoenix Grips. Don’t miss out!
Phoenix Grips: an innovative design
Phoenix Grips feature a completely innovative and patented design. The new shape of these grips is ergonomically designed to offer greater safety for the user.
The Phoenix Grips have extra fabric on the outside of the palm, made to protect this area during gymnastic exercises. Inner foam has also been added for greater comfort and to prevent the fabric itself from rubbing against the wrist and thumb area. This way, you will avoid unnecessary discomfort to focus on what really matters: giving it your all in every training session.
The Phoenix Grips are 1.5 mm thick, making them the thinnest grips and offering you the most contact with the bar. However, thanks to their aramid fabric, they are very light and strong.

The best grip
Phoenix Grips are made with a double polyurethane and aramid fabric, providing the best grip of the entire range of Picsil grips.
Grips without magnesium
They are specifically designed to be used without magnesium – though they won’t lose any functionality if you do wish to use this and can still be fully enjoyed.
Comparison between Phoenix Grips and Golden Eagle Grips
Golden Eagle Grips are the bestsellers of our entire range. They stand out for their great grip and lightness. They are made with a Midro-Diamond technology fabric that allows the magnesium to penetrate the grips in order to stick better to the bar.
However, as we have mentioned on several occasions, these grips offer limited resistance. Golden Eagle Grips are recommended for competition use as they aren’t suitable for heavier people carrying out intense training. They are not suitable for daily training.
On the other hand, if you are a light person who trains at an amateur level, you’ll be able to use these without any issues.
Meanwhile, the Phoenix Grips are made of Aramid, one of the strongest materials in the world and well known for its use in military equipment.
In terms of grip, Phoenix Grips have been specifically designed for use without magnesium – though they won’t lose any functionality if you do use it – and the grip remains one of the strongest in the world.
Thanks to the fabric, they provide the strongest grip ever made. Their lightness, strength and grip make them the perfect combo and the most well-rounded grips in our collection.
